Port Lavaca Fire Department Apparatus

Brush 1

This is a Texas Forestry Truck donated to our department at no cost. We painted it and striped it , then put it to work. it has a 500 gallon water tank and a portable pump at this time.

Engine 1

2000 KME International 4-Door 1250 GPM PUMP, 1000 Gallon water tank.

Engine 2

1996 E-ONE International 4-Door 1250 GPM, 1000 Gallon water tank.

Engine 3

1981 Ford single cab FMC 500 Gallon water tank. Our backup pumper.

Engine 4

1993 E-ONE International 4-Door 1250 GPM, 1000 Gallon Water Tank. This is our second alarm unit.

Haz-Mat 2

This was aquired thru a homeland security grant and is a Wells Cargo trailer fully stocked with supplies and has a small office/command room in front w/generator.

Marine 1

1999 21' Kenner Boat. equipped with radar, gps system, depth finder. Also carries a porta pump for firefighting.

New Engine 1

2006 Rosenbauer Class A Rescue/Pumper. Big Easy Spartan chassis, 1000 gal tank, 1250 Waterous pump, Waterous CAFS.

Rescue 2

This unit was purchased in full with two grants. It is a 2003 Ford F-550 diesel, 4-door cab. It carries a full array of rescue and extrication equiptment and also has a cascade system.

Station 1

Our main Station with all Administration offices. Captain and 2 Engineers, per shift at this station

Station 2

Station has a Lt. and engineer per shift.

Tanker 2

We just received this brand new tannker with a grant from The Texas Forestry Service and the 10% remainder was payed with a grant thru the USDA Rural Development Grant. Our thanks to both agencies in assisting us in this venture. Tanker is a 2006 frieghtliner with a 3000 gallon tank. Build by Mid-State Tankers.
