This 1927 Graham Brothers / Boyer engine was the first motorized fire apparatus owned by the Valey Falls Fire Department. It served as the front line engine company for over 40 years and was actually still responding to calls for service up until 2 years ago. Affectionately refered to as "Ol' Gertie" this truck is still a popular piece for fire prevention programs, parades and was actually honored and displayed at the New York Association of Fire Chief's convention in Syracuse in 2005. This truck was restored to its original condition by the membership about 20 years ago.

40-6 is our 1997 Freightliner-RD Murray Engine / Tanker. This truck holds a crew of five (5) firefighters and has a 1250 gpm Hale top mount pump and a 1,250 gallon booster tank. This truck serves as our initial attack engine and carries 4" supply line and 2 1/2" attack line with a blitz nozzle and a 10" rear Newton Dump. This truck also has a 2 1/2" and three 1 3/4" attack lines. This engine also carries Emergency Medical Service equipment and serves as a back up for EMS calls.

40-7 is our 2004 Toyne Rescue/Engine/Tanker. This apparatus carries six (6) fire fighters and is set up for water supply operations and as a Rescue Engine. This apparatus is first due out for Emergency Medical Service Calls and for traffic accidents. It carries a full compliment of E.M.S. equipment. This apparatus also caries the Holmatro extrication tools along with the cribbing and hand tools needed for extrication. Due to the fact that our district is bordered on the north by the Hoosic River and on the south bu the Tomhannock Reservior we also carry four (4) sets of Ice Water Rescue Suits and support equipment. This apparatus caries 3" and 4" supply lines aliong with 2 1/2" and 1 3/4" attack lines and a rear mounted real with 200' of 1 1/2" rigid attack line. This truck also carries a 1,500 portable pond and a thermal imaging camera.

This 1989 Ford Fire Apparatus Unlimited Mini-Pumper / Rescue Truck serves several purposes for our department. It carries all of the regular equipment carried on a class A pumper including SCBAs, ladders, attack lines. This truck also carries a generator and ventilation equipment, Stokes basket, traffic control equipment, Indian tanks and brush fire equipment plus a full compliment of E.M.S. equipment. This truck is all wheel drive with a bumper mounted winch.
