Brush/Wildfire Truck Apparatus

Brush 1909 is a 2002 Ford F-350 4-wheel drive with, as you can see, a custom Wildfire Manufacturing skid unit. It features a 250 gpm Darley pump with Class A Foam capabilities, electronically operated push-bumper grass sprayer, jump seats w/3 pt harness and preconnected handlines, 2-100' 1" hose reels and various hand tools. Brush 1909 runs on all brush/refuse fires and any call needing 4 wheel drive capabilities. 1909 also runs on mutual aid requests. 1909's chassis was purchased by the City and the modifications were paid for by the Wellston Volunteer Firefighter's Association. |

1982 Chevy 3500 Mini-Pumper, Used primarily for brush/wildland fires only. 3-man cab pump-and-roll 4x4 truck, with various equipment to fight brush fires. Carries 200 gallon of water and a 250 gpm pto driven pump, 200' 1" booster hose, 100' 1 1/2" attack line (rear), 100' 2 1/2" fill hose, 3 10' 2 1/2" hard suction, 150' 1 1/2" spare attack hose. Put into service in 1998. |

Chevy 4x4 grass rig with 300 gallon tank and 18 horse pump motors. Truck was the citys old crash truck. Truck was custom painted by a member on the department that had a body shop. Truck also has a custom built bed on it built by Boog's Weilding in Chamber Ne about 25 south west of O'Neill. |
