2009-05-11 SC Fire : Structure
MFR Eng4 responded Mutual Aid to Grady Rd in the Rains Fire District for a Residential Structure Fire. Upon arrival, units found a single story brick structure 40% involved. MFR units made an aggressive interior attack on the fire that had already vented the roof on the Alpha-Delta corner of the structure. Units were on scene assisting with overhaul for nearly an hour before being released and placed back into service.

MFR Eng 1 responded mutual aid to Marion City for a 2 alarm residential structure fire. Eng 1 was assigned to lay in 5 inch and take care of exposure protection on the C side of the structure.

Eng-2,Eng-3,Service-1, and Medic-4 responded to a residential structure fire on Westridge Rd. Units AOS with smoke pushing from all sides and a fire room on the A-B corner of the home. Crews made a quick knock on the fire containing it to a single room. The search was negative, and the same for extention. Crews were on scene for almost an hour. Chief R.Stetson had the Westridge command.
2008-09-01 SC Fire : Structure
MFR was alerted to a residential structure fire with possible entrapment on French Rd. Eng2, Eng4, Eng5, and Medic 4 responded. Units AOS of a single family dwelling with fire showing from the A-side of the structure. Two 1 3/4" handlines were deployed and an attack crew made a good knock on the interior which had heavy fire load. Crews then opened up and began to overhaul. Eng2 was the attack, while Eng4&5 provided water shuttle. Capt W.Collins had the command.

Eng-2 and Eng-3 responded to a residential structure on Cooper St. Eng-2 AOS with smoke showing, investigation found a small fire on a table. The fire was handled with a booster line and ppv. A/C C.Hardwick had command.
2008-08-04 SC Motor Vehicle Accidents
Sq-1 and Eng-2 responded to an MVA on Hwy 76. Sq-1 AOS with two cars and no entrapment. Patient care was handled by MCEMS Medic-3 and Medic-4. MFR handled the hazards. Capt W.Collins had the command.
2008-06-27 SC Fire : Structure
MFR Eng2,Eng3,& MCEMS Medic4 responded to a possible stove fire on Dixon St. Units AOS with nothing showing and found an electrical short on the stove inside the residence. The hazards were controlled and an extension check was negative. Units cleared and returned to HQ.
2008-06-26 SC Fire : Structure
MFR Eng2,Eng3,Squad1,& MCEMS Medic4 responded to a residential structure fire on Todd School Rd. FF/EMT A.Herring AOS reporting smoke showing from all sides. Eng2 set up for attack and a crew made entry into the structure. Crews found light fire conditions in the laundry room, which was easily handled with a water can and 1 3/4" handline. Overhaul was completed with no extention found. PPV was used to remove the smoke from the home and the scene was turned back over to the homeowner. All units cleared and returned to HQ. Capt W.Collins had the command.
2008-06-19 SC Fire : Structure
MFR Eng-2,Eng-3,Squad-1,& Medic-4 responded to a residential structure fire on the corner of Church and Mullins St. Units AOS to a 1500 sq ft home 25% involved. An agressive interior attack took place and the bulk of the fire was knocked down. The structure was vented vertically and extensive overhaul was conducted. Crews were on scene for about 2 hours before all units cleared and returned to HQ. A/C S.Harrelson had the Church St. Command.

MFR was alerted of a possible structure fire on Center Church Rd. Units AOS and found a double wide mobile home fully involved. Eng-2 setup as attack and Eng-4 was water supply. S/O M.Godbold had the command.
2008-02-23 SC Fire : Structure
Around 17:38,MFR Eng-1 and Eng-3 responded mutual aid to NVFD for a structure fire. Eng-1 AOS and set up water supply via two 3inch lines and became the attack Eng. A 2 1/2" and 1 3/4" handline were put in service and Eng-1 supplies NVFD Eng-1 with water. Mutual aid was requested from Marion City and Horry County Fire Depts. Marion Ladder 1 AOS and MFR Eng-1 supplied the stick via 5" supply line. Units were on scene for about 5 hours and the business was a total loss. NVFD Chief J.Graham had the Command. MFR Eng-2 responded to a grass fire on W.Marion St. Units AOS and found a small patch of grass on fire and handled it quickly with the booster line. All units placed in service.

MFR Eng-1,Eng-4, and Squad-1 responded to a residential structure fire on Emerson Rd. C-3 AOS and reported a single family dwelling with smoke showing from all sides. Eng-1 set up as attack and Eng-4 was water supply. Crews made a quick knock on the fire and began overhaul. No extention was found and all units returned to HQ. D/C J.Collins had the command.

MFR Eng-4 responded for coverage at Marion Rural Fire Department as they worked a 3 Alarm structure fire at a motel in their district.
2008-02-09 SC Fire : Forest/Brush
MFR responded to multiple brush fires throughout the day, the largest of which was on Millers Rd. Eng-2,Eng-3,Eng-4,Eng-1,NVFD B-1 and MRFD Eng-11 responded. Eng-2 was placed near threatened structures for protection while Eng-3 and Eng-4 worked water shuttle. Forestry was notified and responded 2 plows. Crews were on scene for nearly 4 hours before the fire was under control. HCFR Eng-24 provided coverage at MFR HQ. A/C C.Hardwick had the command.
2008-02-05 SC Fire : Structure
Eng-1 and Eng-4 responded to smoke in a home on Brantwood Ct. Eng-1 AOS and found nothing showing, then reported a stove fire that was extinguished by the homeowner. Eng-4 went onscene, but stayed in service. Units ventilated the structure and checked for extention, which was negative. A/C J.Collins had the command.
2008-02-03 SC Motor Vehicle Accidents
MFR Squad-1 and Eng-1 responded to an MVA. F-16 AOS and reported a 1 car multiple roll over with entrapment and powerlines down. Caroline Lifecare was alert and launched. Extracation included a roof roll and door job. Eng-3 was added to the call for a second set of tools. The pt was extracated in about 10 minutes and the pt was loaded in MCEMS Medic-2. Carolina Lifecare was redirected to land at MCMC and a total of 2 patients were transported via MCEMS. The scene was turned over to SCHP. Units cleared and returned to HQ. A/C S.Harrelson had command.
2008-02-03 SC Motor Vehicle Accidents
MFR was alerted of an MVA on Hwy 41 South near Peacan Pointe. Eng-1 and Squad-1 responded. F-27 AOS and reported 1 car, multiple rollover, with 2 ejections. Carolina LifeCare was placed on standby. EMS-1 AOS and began Pt care. Both Pts were packaged and loaded in the ambulances. LifeCare was stood down and both Pts were transported to MCMC via Pro Ambulance Service. All hazards were controlled and units returned to HQ. Capt W.Collins had the 41-Command.
2008-01-27 SC Fire : Structure
Eng-1,Eng-4,Eng-3,and Squad-1 responed to a structure fire on Scotch Community Rd. Units AOS and reported heavy fire and smoke from the rear of the structure. A second alarm was requested and a crew went interior. When the crew reached the fire,an evacuation was ordered and all units were pulled out due to heavy fire venting from the roof. A defensive attack was then conducted and mutual aid was request due to lack of water supply. D/C J.Collins had the command and Chief R.Stetson had water operations. A/C S.Harrelson had the interior. Additional units on scene were: HCFR Tanker-38, HCFR Engine-6, HCFR Air Truck-, NVFD Engine-1, MCEMS Medic-4, Marion City FD Engine-1.

MFR Eng-2,Eng-3, and Squad-1 responded to a possible structure fire on Park St. MPD units AOS and reported smoke showing from all sides. Crews went inside and found an oven fire that was controlled with an 1 3/4" handline. Units were on scene for about an hour. D/C J.Collins had command.
