We were dispatched with Ash-Rand Rescue Base 1, Randolph County EMS 854 and EMS supervisor 836 and North Carolina Highway Patrol to a MVA with entrapment at 20:00 hours. When engine 231 arrived on scene they advised the had a working fire from the MVA and Chief 13 would have command. They pulled an 1.5 preconnect line off the truck and started fighting the fire. When the next truck arrived on scene they pulled another preconnect off and hooked a foam line up to fight the fire. When the fire was put out we confirmed we had a fatality.
