A Sunday fire destroyed a Gamaliel area business.

About 10 p.m., firefighters with the 101 Gamaliel Fire Protection District No. 5 responded to a fire in two-car garage in the 100 block of Baxter County Road 804, which housed Expert Home Entertainment and woodworking shop, according to a news release.

When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy fire through the roof of the back of the garage, according to the release. They were not able to enter the garage because the roof caved in but were able to keep the fire from spreading into the house 10 feet away, according to the release.

The fire started in the back corner of the garage and the cause is undetermined, according to the release.

Henderson and Northeast Lakeside volunteer fire departments also responded.
