Posted: March 23rd, 2006 :: POWNAL FIRE PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION

The Pownal Fire Department urges anyone buring to use extreme caution. Lower snowfalls, high winds resulting in downed debris and low rainfalls have made for a high fire danger potential. Always get a permit, have water immediately available and in the event the fire begins to spread, contact your local fire department immediately.
