Faison recieves Federal Firefighters Assistance Grant

On September 23, 2005 we were notified that we had recieved the FEMA Assistance to Firefighting Grant. This grant is funded 95% by the government with the department only having to pay 5%. With these funds we will purchase new SCBA's and bottles, 15 new pagers, 5 portable radios, 16 sets of turnout gear, 1 truck mounted generator, and a thermal imaging camera. All equipment will be useful for us to serve the community and the departments we also respond with.More News
