What we hope don't happen

Do I need a burning permit?

Answer: No but you must call into the Green Co. Sheriffs Department to inform them of your burn. A log is kept of all burnings in the county so if a report of suspicious smoke is received at the sheriff’s department fire units will not be dispatched needlessly.
