WE recieved our turn-out gear from Fire End Co and the equipment got used several days later in a dirty,sooty fire involving an old house but unfornately the resident did not make it out. The fire had a good start and was packed with everything. The temperture was 26 or 28 degrees below zero at 2:15 AM when the firsy unit arrived.Trucks were freezeing up on the way to the site. Even our tankers were but our sister department is just finishing a new station it was pressed into service as water was loaded at a village water hydrad at neighboring station and the truck where taken to the new station waiting for the signal to move up to fire scene. It was 6:30 that evening that it finally brought to halt.
