LOCAL LAW REGARDING BURNING WITHIN THE VILLAGE

Posted: June 14th, 2008 :: VALLEY FALLS FIRE DEPARTMENT

This is just a reminder that New York State Environmental Conservation Law and Local Village Law prohibits open burning within the village. The only outside fires allowed by law are for food preparation and smudge as long as the fire is contained in an approved burning recepticle and the smoke is not causing any undue discomfort to another in the village.
Burning of leaves, brush and trash is strictly forbidden.
If you have any questions contact the village office or fire department for a copy of the local law.
