MINUTES OF THE MEETING February 11, 2008.
Vice-President Sylvester called the meeting to order at 20:05. There were 25 members in attendance.
Minutes of the previous meeting held on January 14, 2008 were read. A motion to accept the minutes was presented by Art Ott , seconded by Brian Reaka. Motion was approved by membership.
Committee
Membership-Dues are due for members
Winter-fest- The winter-fest was worth the money spent.
Soda and ice- we are going to table a decision until next month.
Picture- A motion to buy package A of the group photo and have the picture of the antique pumper matted and framed.
Old Business
We donated $1,000.00 to the food and clothing bank.
Chief’s Report
2711’s rescue tools are out of service.
Seat belt hooks are now in place and USE YOUR SEAT BELTS. SCBA rip cords on 2711 are to be placed in the shoulder strap holder.
Make sure the engineer is doing a safety walk around.
2719 ladder rung was damaged again so we placed a bolt in the place of the pin.
We are going to break up into crews of 8 members for equipment checks and training. During emergency calls respond as we have been doing.
New ID cards will be being issued and photos will be taken at St. Clair county jail and the Fairview Police Department.
Women’s club would like to help out the department.
A motion to adjourn was made by Nathan Vosse, seconded by Tyler Coughlin at 20:40. Motion was approved by membership.
50/50 was won by Spot.
