CONTROL BURN

Control Burn information Report all control burns to Greene County 911 at 518-622-3344 or 518-622-3548Only burn if it is not windy. If windy consider another day.
Clear an area around the burn area.
DO NOT USE GASOLINE OR OTHER FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS TO START FIRE.
Make sure the fire stays small so you can manage it.
Do not leave the fire unattended.
Have some type of communications device available at all times.
Have some type of extinguisher available (bucket of water, hose or fire extinguisher).
When done make sure fire is out and call Greene County 911 back at 518-622-3344 or 518-622-3548 and advise them it is out.
Control burns can only take place in the Town of Catskill. It is illegal to have an open burn/control burn in the Village of Catskill.
