Lightning strike possible cause of house fire
Fire Ryan found this article on EdmondSun.com | Posted: April 9th, 2008Brought in with the afternoon rain storm, a lightning strike possibly was the cause of a house fire Wednesday.
The Edmond Fire Department responded to a structure fire shortly after 1 p.m. in the 2000 block of Woodcrest Lane. No one was in the home at the time of the fire.
Tim Wheeler, chief of fire prevention, said a neighbor heard a loud clap of thunder and looked outside. The neighbor saw smoke coming from the roof of a house across the street.
